Massachusetts Transit Service Changes Announced

In order to best comply with CDC and MassDPH guidelines regarding social distancing, the MBTA and the 15 Regional Transit Authorities have enforced the following service changes, updated March 26, 2020:

MBTA: Effective Tuesday, March 17, all MBTA services will run on a reduced schedule until further notice. Full details: MBTA.com/coronavirus

BAT: Effective Monday, March 23, all Brockton and Stoughton routes will run on a reduced “snow schedule”. Route 12 Ashmont will run a regular schedule with no express trips.  Effective Monday, March 23, 2020 until further notice, GATRA will be operating on a reduced schedule, except for the following suspended services:
• The Franklin Area Bus (FAB)
• Tri-Town Connector
• The Pembroke Shuttle
• The Boston Hospital Bus
• The Foxboro Commuter Shuttle
• The Wareham to Plymouth Connection

MVRTA:

PVTA: Effective Monday, March 23, PVTA is operating on a Modified Saturday Schedule in the Springfield and Northampton Service Areas. Service will follow a Saturday Schedule, Monday – Saturday with modified service hours of 6:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. Routes that usually operate Monday – Friday only, may have service during the week with modified hours of 6:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. Sundays will continue to operate on a Sunday Service Schedule . WRTA: Effective Wednesday, March 25, all WRTA Weekday routes will run on a Saturday schedule, with the following exceptions:

• Route 19 and 30 will operate on a modified Saturday schedule
• Route 33 will operate on a modified Weekday schedule
• Effective March 31, Elder Shoppe Service will be suspended until further notice
• On Weekends, all routes will operate on a Sunday schedule
