MBTA Service Update

Effective May 6, all MBTA riders and employees are REQUIRED to wear a face covering while riding the T in accordance with Governor Baker’s emergency order. Following the MA Department of Public Health guidance, face coverings include, but are not limited to: scarves, bandannas, dust masks, and disposable masks.

Massachusetts Transit Service Changes Announced

In order to best comply with CDC and MassDPH guidelines regarding social distancing, the MBTA and the 15 Regional Transit Authorities have enforced the following service changes, updated March 26, 2020: MBTA: Effective Tuesday, March 17, all MBTA services will run on a reduced schedule until further notice. GATRA GO Microtransit

The Greater Attleboro Taunton Transit Authority announced the launch of GATRA GO, a new Microtransit on-demand service which allows transit riders to request a vehicle to pick them up and drop them off where needed. The service runs in the Route 1, 140, and 106 corridors, which includes selected areas of the towns of Mansfield, Plainville, and Foxborough. Hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. To request a pick up riders can download the Transloc mobile app on their smartphone or dial 508-697-1911, where they will be assisted by a dispatcher.  Riders can also book a ride online using the GATRA OnDemand Web Portal. RIPTA Adds New Bus Service Between Providence, Fall River and Newport.

RIPTA will add a new express service, Route 24X, that will connect RIPTA to the Southeastern Regional Transit Authority (SRTA) at the Pettine Transportation Center in Fall River and the service now creates a tri-city link between Providence, Fall River and Newport. Ride Match Upgrades with Google Technology
