- Description: The Natick Connector The Department of Community Services offers accessible transportation throughout the week to Natick residents. The Connector travels both locally and to neighboring communities for $2/one way. Open an account and make your reservations now! Call MWRTA at (508) 820-4650 New Taxi Service We are pleased to announce that we have received two grants to provide transportation via taxicab. These grants, awarded to the COA from Metropolitan Area Planning Council and BayPath Elder Services, Inc allow us to provide rides to medical appointments outside of the MetroWest area, including Boston, Waltham, Burlington, Fox borough and Worcester. Partnering with us is JFK Transportation in Natick, who will be providing the cab service. The number of rides we will be able to provide is limited. If you are a Natick resident, aged 60 and over, please call the Center at 508-647-6540 at least 3 business days in advance of your appointment. Please be aware that strict guidelines for sanitizing and mask-wearing by both passengers and drivers must be followed. These programs have been made possible in part by funding from the CARES ACT Title IIB as granted by BayPath Elder Services, Inc. Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority Commuter Rail The MBTA’s Framingham-Worcester commuter rail line to Boston’s South Station stops in West Natick and Natick. For more information about routes, schedules, and fares, call the MBTA Customer Information Center at 800-392-6100 or on TDD at 617-222-5146, visit their website, or stop by the Natick Community-Senior Center for a schedule. MBTA Senior Citizen Passes Reduced fare passes for seniors (65 or older) can be obtained by mail. Visit the Fares and Gifts page to obtain the information you will need to get a reduced fare. You must send the following to MBTA Senior Access Pass Office 145 Dartmouth St., Boston, MA 02116-5162 Walk-in service is available at the above office, located at Back Bay Station. Medicaid Transportation Elders on Medicaid/SSI can receive services to medical appointments if they have no access to other transportation and meet other program qualifications. Call 800-841-2900 for more information. MetroWest Regional Transit Authority (MWRTA) MWRTA has general public, Fixed Route buses that run through Natick. Riders can make connections to other routes to travel throughout the service area. Riders should wait at designated bus stop locations, or can wave the bus down along the route in a safe, visible location. Visit www.mwrta.com for schedules and information, or call (508) 935-2222. MWRTA also offers Travel Training at no cost to any individual interested in learning how to use the Fixed Route system.
