Description: Senior Center option:
The Needham Council on Aging (COA) provides transportation services to residents 60+ years old and people with Disabilities. The service is wheelchair accessible. Rides are to and from the Senior center from riders home only.
The COA van requires a minimum 24-hour notice to schedule a ride. Also, cancelations calls are a must so other riders request can be accommodated. The driver will call once they are on their way to pick-up a rider so there is no need to wait outside until then. Riders in wheelchairs must be independent as the driver is unable to provide additional assistance if needed.
Riders must have a working cell phone and number to communicate.

Medical transportation options: 
The Council on Aging
The Needham COA offers free rides to medical appointments within a 10.5 mile radius of Needham for Needham residents age 60 and over through a rideshare service called GoGo Inc. Rides are available Monday – Friday, 8am-6pm. To schedule a ride, call our dedicated transportation line at 781-343-1258. Our operator will take your ride information Monday – Friday 9am-4:30pm, exclusive of holidays. A ride agreement must be signed and returned to the Transportation Coordinator at the Center at the Heights before your first ride. When you call, please have the full address and details of your medical appointment available. This service is sponsored through a grant from the Massachusetts Council on Aging Association. Rides will be available as long as funding allows.

The Needham Community Council (NCC)
The NCC has volunteer drivers to provide rides to and from medical appointments within Needham. For further information call the Council at 781-444-2415.

Senior Medical Escort Program
Senior Medical Escort Program – Springwell, Inc., provides a ride and the accompaniment of a medical escort from your home to the appointment and back, utilizing volunteer drivers. Advance notice required and a suggested donation is requested. For further information call 617-926-4100.

Grocery Store option:
Our vans make weekly trips to the following grocery stores:
Sudbury Farms in Needham – Every Wednesday
Trader Joe’s in Needham – Every Thursday
Market Basket in Waltham – Every other Wednesday
You can ride to the stores from the Center, or we will pick you up and drop you off at your home.
You must register for shopping trips at least 24 hours in advance. To register call Stephan at 781-455-7555, ext. 204.

CVS, Walgreens and Trader Joe’s in Needham
Our vans can take you to and from CVS, Walgreens and Trader Joe’s in Needham. They are available every Tuesday morning. For more information or to register for a ride, call Stephan at 781-455-7555, ext 204.
