Basic Information: Somerset Council on Aging; Address: 115 Wood Street Somerset, MA 02726; Customer Service: 508-646-2819; Website: https://www.townofsomerset.org/171/Transportation; Description: Transportation is available to elders aged 59 or older and handicapped persons of any age. The mini-bus will transport eligible elders anywhere in the town of Somerset and for medical appointments in Fall River and Swansea at no cost. We are a curb-to-curb service, we do not go on property.

Mini-bus hours are:
Monday through 7:30 am to 1:30 pm
Tuesday through 7:30 am to 2:30 pm
Wednesday through 7:30 am to 1:30 pm
Thursday from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm
Friday 7:30 am to 2:30 pm

Daily trips can go into Fall River, Swansea, and Somerset are as follows:
Monday through Friday

Shopping trips are provided for Somerset residents to obtain groceries and supplies. There is a limit of 3 bags per shopper in order to have enough room to accommodate everyone.
Schedule is as follows
Every Thursday through 8:30 am – to Stop and Shop
We also offer a ride to the Swansea Walmart on the First Thursday of every month. Please call the Council on Aging for dates and times. 508-646-2819.

Please remember to schedule your ride the day before it is needed, by phoning the Office at 508-646-2819 between the hours of 9 am and 2 pm. For Monday appointments please call on Friday.
