- Description: Martha’s Vineyard Transit Authority (VTA)-Medivan is medical transportation to Boston for seniors and people with disabilities. If you are under 60 with a disability you would need to provide documentation from your healthcare provider. To be eligible you must be 60 years of age or older and/or disabled. The Medivan travels to and from Boston area hospitals every Tuesday on a year round basis, excluding holidays. You can meet the van by 6:15 am at the Vineyard Haven Park & Ride lot on State Rd. or at the Steamship Authority no later than 6:30 am for the 7:00 am boat. All scheduled appointments in Boston must be made between the hours 10:00 am and 1:00 pm. The Medivan departs from Boston by 2:30 pm.
