- Description: The Council on Aging (COA) can provide transportation on a first come, first served basis to Concord seniors around town for medical appointments, trips to the bank, haircuts, visits to a friend, events at the Council on Aging, and more.
The Council on Aging vans run Monday through Friday, except for holidays.
The first pickup of the day is 8:40 AM, and the final pickup to return home is at 3:30 PM from Monday through Thursday and at 2:00 PM on Fridays.
The suggested donation for a van ride is $2 round trip.
We recommend that you make appointments as early as possible (they can be booked months ahead).
All COA vans are wheelchair accessible. Seniors riding the Council On Aging van must be able to get on and off the van independently, or they must bring an aide or a family member to assist them. Masks are optional. Emergency information must be on file in the COA office.

SHOPPING OPPORTUNITIES: We are happy to provide a variety of shopping opportunities each month, but it is important that you call for a reservation in advance. To save room, each shopper is limited to 5 shopping bags. Shoppers will have about an hour to shop, and the van driver can help carry shopping bags.
– 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month: Trader Joe’s (Acton). Pickups start at 12:30pm.
– Thursdays: Market Basket (Maynard). Pickups start at 12:30pm.
– Fridays: Crosby’s Marketplace and CVS (Concord). Pickups start at 10am.
