Basic Information: Abington Council on Aging Van Service; Address: 441 Summer Street Abington, MA 02351; Customer Service: (781) 982-2145; Website: https://www.abingtonma.gov/council-on-aging/pages/transportation-services; Description: We take appointments for our own van (our dark green van was donated by Anderson Insulation) as well as the BAT (Brockton Area Transport) van for local travel ($3.00 round-trip). Appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance during the week. Pickup and drop off for Doctor’s appointments as well as food & pharmacy shopping in Abington. Fridays the van goes on a local mall trip (locations are alternated).Other Volunteer Drivers – There are a few Abington residents that are willing to drive seniors to medical appointments that cannot be accommodated by our van service.
