- Description: If you are in need of transportation. the Palmer Council on Aging has van service available Monday – Friday 8:30 am-3:30 pm. Please remember to schedule your out-of-town van appointments for earlier in the day. The van comes off the road at 3:30 p.m., so plan accordingly. These services include medical appointments, errands, bank, hairdresser, pharmacy, etc. please call to request a ride. All appointments need to be made 48 hours in advance to give the senior center time to schedule the van. All town residents age 60+ or under 60 and disabled are able to ride the van.
Volunteer drivers will assist when the Van is not available.
Trips can be for:
-Shopping, in town
-Shopping, out of town (malls and Walmart)
-Senior Center
-Medical Appointments
-Library
-Banks
-Pharmacy, etc.
Grocery Shopping: Please call to schedule at 283-2670 ext. 3
Big Y trips are available on Thursday afternoon
We also offer a Walmart trip 1X monthly
Fare:
-All Suggested Donations are Round Trip.
Daily Van Trips:
In Town (Palmer, Three Rivers, Thorndike & Bondsville) $3.00
Out of Town (Belchertown, Wilbraham & Ware) $5.00
Springfield, Agawam, Chicopee, W. Springfield & Holyoke area $10.00
Any town past Holyoke, Westfield, Barre & Sturbridge $15.00
