- Description: Transportation Local. A wheelchair lift equipped van is available for local transportation 5 days a week for Lakeville’s Elderly, Elderly Handicapped, and Non-elderly Handicapped. It is available for grocery shopping, medical appointments, hairdressers, banking, visiting, errands and Senior Center activities. Medical appointments take priority. The van is available Mon-Fri from 9:30-1:30 these days as we have regular morning and afternoon day care rides. You must call at least 24 hours in advance, and there is a nominal fee.($1.75 one way ride, $3.50 round trip.) Transportation Out-of-Town. This transportation is for medical appointments only, and you must be 60 years or older, and call at least a week in advance, or more if able to do so. There is no charge for this transportation; however, you must be ambulatory. And we can NOT transport if you are going to be put under anesthesia of any kind, but we are able to drop you off if you can get a family member to pick you up after the procedure which required anesthesia.FARES: $3.50 round trip $1.75 one way Last Updated: October 2022
