Description: In 1979 the Southeastern Regional Transit Authority (SRTA) established a Demand Response Service to meet the needs of the disabled community who needed some form of transportation service that was not adequately being met by regular buses. The SRTA service area is made up of the cities of New Bedford, Fall River and the towns of Acushnet, Dartmouth, Fairhaven, Freetown, Mattapoisett, Somerset, Swansea and Westport. The service may be used for shopping, medical appointments, employment, education, social functions, etc. FARE: One Zone Fare: $3.00 Regular Fare: $3.00 10 Ride Pass: $25.00 Trips outside 2 mile radius of fixed route: add $1.00 Last Updated: 03/31/23
