With TRIP, the person who needs transportation chooses a driver with whom they’re comfortable – a friend or a neighbor (and in some cases, certain relatives may qualify, too) – and the two parties work together to track mileage. At the end of each month, TRIP sends a mileage reimbursement check for the driver. Passenger and driver need to register with TRIP to be eligible for reimbursement.
