Description of Services
The Leicester Senior Center/Council on Aging (COA) offers two transportation options.
Option #1: The COA contracts with the Worcester Regional Transit Authority (WRTA) to provide transportation to residents 60+ years old and people with disabilities of all ages. This is a curb-to-curb service, provided Monday through Friday within Leicester and from Leicester to Worcester and Auburn when necessary. FARES:
$ .50 (Senior Center)
$1.50 (one-way) in town
$2.00 (round trip) in town
$1.75 (one-way) out of town
$2.25 (round trip) out of town
Option #2: The Leicester COA offers weekly trips for grocery and medical purposes. Other trips can be accommodated on a space available basis with first-come first-served priority. Contact the Senior Center/Council on Aging main office at 508-892-7016.
