Description of Services
"COVID-19 Rider Alert: Updated 7/9/2020
All passengers must wear a medical or cloth mask to cover their mouth and nose while on board PVTA vehicles.
All riders are required to exit the bus at the end of its route and may not re-board the same vehicle for the immediate return trip. Multiple or consecutive round trips are not permitted and riders who appear to be loitering on the bus will be asked to deboard.

The Pioneer Valley Transit Authority (PVTA) fixed-route service is comprised of over 50 routes, including town shuttles, college shuttles, and express routes. Most service is organized around Springfield, but routes are also organized around smaller hubs in Holyoke and Northampton.

FARES:
Fare can now be purchased using your smartphone through the MassDOT Bus+ App. Read how to sign up.
Adults: $1.50 ($1.40 if a ticket is purchased at the Customer Service Center in Springfield)
Adult Transfer: $.75 (Transfer time is 90 minutes. A transfer cannot be used on the same route. Must be purchased at time of boarding. One transfer per ride.)
Regular 7 Day Pass: $15.00
Regular 31 Day pass: $54.00 (Good for 31 consecutive days. Save $2 off the 31 day pass with a Big Y card at your local Big Y.)
Seniors: $.75
Mobility Impaired: $.75
Senior and Mobility Impaired Transfer: $.10
Senior and Mobility Impaired 31 Day Pass: $26.00 (Must have a valid PVTA Photo ID or Statewide Transportation Access pass. Read how to obtain. Must show ID at time of purchase and when using pass. Good for 31 consecutive days. Save $2 off then 31 day pass with a Big Y card at your local Big Y.)
Children 6-12: $.90
Children Transfers: $.25 (Transfer time is 90 minutes. A transfer cannot be used on the same route. Must be purchased at time of boarding. One transfer per ride.)
